    1998 ford ranger fuel filter

    im trying to replace the fuel filter on my 1998 ford ranger and i bought the tool to do it but i cant figure out if i got the right tool it has 4 sizes 3/4 5/8 1/2 3/8 please tell me if i have the correct size and if so please tell me exactly how to use it and were exactly im supposed to place this tool i think it should go in the coupling and maybe spread it apart but as you see im very lost please this is stressing me out please help and thanks for your time.yours truly broke down man!!!!!!

                                I beleive what you have is a tool like a split sleeve,  it closes around the line and is then pushed into the coupling "ring",,,where it expands a round spring allowing the lines to be seperated.. These can be tough for newbees
