The car runs fine when cold. The trans shifts perfectly and the car has a lot of pep. When it is warm, the car will not shift out of first gear. Any suggestions? The mechanicals have been checked: cable, case, connections, all are OK. The fluid level is high but bright red. There is no leaks.

I have a 1997 Taurus and very recenly replaced the alternator. Two day after installing, I began to have a problem with no (or at least intermittent) power to my door windows, the sound on my radio would cut out and the power steering quit. I dont know if there was any connection to just having replaced the alternator, but who ...

the e-brake light turns on when i brake hard or make turns. Rarely ever used the e-brake itself nor do i known anything else bout why it does this.

1997 Taurus with the 3.0 L engine has no heat. Radiator backflush and fill, and thermostat replaced 1 month ago. Had heat prior to service only when in motion; when at idle, cold air came through vents.

I have purchased a used 1997 Taurus and then purchased a keyless remote. I have checked a couple different sites and both tell you the procedure of turning key off and on (one site said 5 times, another 7 or 8 times) within 10 seconds, ending in the on position.
