Can someone help me with locating the transmission dipstick for this car.

I have a 96 Ranger XLT, 3.0l, 4x4 automatic with about 140k on it. Great driving truck until the tranny started acting up. Hard shift out of park and second gear wont kick in unless you slow down. My otherwise well running sedan won't upshift to 4th gear - ever. The transmission fluid is full and the transmission was serviced by Mercedes at 60,000. The transmission also won't upshift to 3rd when the car is cold -- but shifts fine after about 30-60 seconds.

I have a 98 Zx2 with the Zetec VCT in it and its auto. I want to swap it for a 5- speed but having a hrd time tracking one down and none of the local junk yards have any to take from. Little help

I have a 00 mustang and if I gun it wont shift from second gear until around 50 mph. whats the problem?

What would most likely be the problem, with a Ford Explorer automatic transmission, when it won't work in reverse? Everything else works fine all forward selections work okay including in the park position. It just won't work in reverse.

I have a 94 Limited 4wd Explorer. It recently started doing this lovley thing with the gears. The rpm's will climb but it wont shift. If you let off the gas all the way it will shift just fine, smooth as silk and you go on your merry way. It also goes into reverse just fine, the fluids dont smell burnt and yes the fluids are fine. ...
