    2000 won't turn over

Hi all,  What a great site.  But could not find this listed.  So here goes....   Our 2001 F-150 was running great.  So I decided to re-charge the air conditioning, with the truck running air was getting cold and then the can was empty.  I replaced the empty can with a new one and now it will not start.  Nothing is turning, just getting a click.  Battery was put on a charger, and showed mini charge, was fully charged.  Can't see how  I screwed this up but I did, LOL  Thought the past electrical strangeness was water related but now not sure.  Dash, odometer, radio all have been going on and off, never for very long, just flashing.  Any help on these would be greatly appreciated.  Wonder if it is all connected, wiring harness or ground?  Thank you all in advance, Marty

Sounds to me as if the starter is not getting full battery power with that clicking sound.  Be sure the battery is charged (I would reccommend replacing the battery if it is older then 5 years).  Clean battery terminals and cables with battery cleaner tool.  Check that battery terminals and cables look to be in good condition.  Also check where the cables attach at the starter and at any grounding points.

I'm not sure if your vehicle has a starter relay or not, but if everything above checks out, that would be my next guess.  But since you are getting that clicking sound, I am leaning more toward a battery or connection problem.

    Hope this helps!
