    Re: buick enclave versus BMW

Compared to the first generation BMW X5, the Enclave is clearly dominant. The Enclave is longer, taller and wider than the X5 and has the capacity to seat up to eight passengers. The Enclave comes with a powerful, 275-horsepower V6, but nothing yet to match the X5’s V8s. While the X5 is all-wheel drive (with a rear-drive bias), the Enclave comes standard as a front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive an option. Despite the dreaded front-wheel drive status, the Enclave has a 4,500-pound towing capacity. The interior of the Enclave is a vast improvement over anything GM has produced in quite awhile. The new X5 improved many of the previous generation’s downfalls including increasing the possible seating capacity to seven passengers. The Enclave is still larger than the X5, but while the X5 focuses on performance and handling, the Enclave focuses on comfort and fuel economy (18 city/26 hwy). The Enclave is probably one of the best designed Buicks ever, but the X5 is no slouch itself. The X5 has a starting MSRP of $45,900 (for the V6 model) while the Enclave will start at $32,790.

As for the liters of an engine, it just tells you how big the displacement of an engine is. A way to truly compare two engines, is to find the horsepower per liter (divide the horsepower amount by the size of the engine).
