My timing belt broke while idling in traffic. Towed it home and tore it down. Replaced the belt according to Chiltons repair manual. The front end of the engine is not totally put together because the gasket for the water outlet tore and couldn't get one tonight. Tried starting it up to be sure timing was correct, but it will not idle. Could this be because it is not completely assembled, or could something else be wrong.
