My 1993 Taurus station wagon emits a squeaking, scraping noise in the front end only when turning the steering wheel in hot weather, like 85 degrees F and above. Usually happens in the afternoon when the weather is hotter and the car has been warmed up good. Sounds like rubber rubbing against rubber or metal. Never hear it in the fall-winter-spring, comes back every summer. Anybody have any clues?
