I'll cut to the chase. I've replaced my fan switch with a new one(70 bucks)then replaced the motor resistor which appeared bad(40 bucks), then the blower relay(28 bucks) blower still wont blow.
NOw i would normally think its got to be the blower motor then...but it comes on sometime running on a low speed and cuts off. but it sounds as if its just on its last legs.
troulble all started one day, when it had ran for years on high, and one of the lower speeds, it finally just quit. i pulled the switch thinking it was the culprit, but no. then i pulled the blower resistor, and it was charred and broken, i thought surely it was the problem, no luck. so, i tried the relay as a last resort and as my luck generally runs, it didnt help.next is the motor itelf, but as it kicks on some, i assume it may be ok.
what is a laymans test for the blower motor, and is a jumper wire a direct wire connection between two points? thank you girardo
