I've got a 97 Mustang GT Convertible. Bought it with about 50k on it ran tip top after 5k started not to shift under power I would have to come off the gas to shift. Felt as if I had to skip over a gear. Had to get high rpms of the line then come off the gas and it would shit to the high gear. If you were to drive conservatively it just wouldn't go in to third at all. At highway speeds if you were to put the gas pedal to the floor boards it was as if it would go to neutral and before you could get off the gas you'd be deep into the red on the tach. 3k more on the odometer now and it doesn't shift at all. With the low miles I have on the car I'm just wondering if I should replace the transmission or if the problem could be in a different component such as the computer or torque converter.
