I have a 1994 Ford Taurus with a 3.8 litre V6 automatic transmission. When I come to a stop the transmission acts as if I have put it in neutral, even though I haven't. I can rev it up a little and then it will go back into drive and all seems well. Sometimes I have to go to park then to reverse and then to drive and it will finally start pulling. It doesn't do it when it's cold only after I've driven it a while. Once I'm going it shifts and acts perfectly fine, no slippage or anything to suggest there's a problem. It is full of transmission fluid and no, the filter isn't dirty. The fluid doesn't smell burnt and I feel no metal filings on the dip stick.I'm totally confused, can you help? my email is
