Hi.
I have a 1996 Windstar. The sliding door gets very stiff & sometimes takes a huge amount of muscle power to open. There does not seem to be anything that sets it off - it's just sometimes normal and sometimes not. I have thoroughly inspected the track and cleaned it well. I have also given it very healthy doses of WD40 & Kroil, but it doesn't help. I have done everything short of taking the door off to find the problem. Do you have any ideas?
Note: This van sees my mechanic very regularly and the expenses are getting very irritating. I would like to fix it myself this time.
