A while back I locked my keys in the car out of town. First time this happened, girl came with slim jim, no problem. Next time it happened, same tow company sent a old guy that looked at the car, slipped a thing like a blood pressure cuff in between the door and frame and inflated it. After he bent the door outwards, he reached in and pulled up the lock. That was a long time back, now along with the rubber insulator strips wearing out, there is a noticeable gap and the wind makes a ton of noise around my door. Cold air comes in too. I have had problems with windows coming out of tracks, but that has been fixed. Last time they fixed them, they said Hey your car was in a wreck. My sister bought car new, then my mom had it, now I have it (drove it from TX to WA). It has never been in a wreck. My mom did hit the side of her barn and scrapped the right side door, but that is a minor body repair. How do I fix the bent door? Do I have to take it to a frame puller? Do they even have them any more? I plan to keep this car until it becomes a classic and I can sell it for a lot of money, provided I can keep it running until then.
