My wife drives a 2005 Chrysler Town and County. Her brakes were bad recently, squeaking and making the normal noises. I changed the pads and thought all was fine, worked fine for a bit. A little later (about 2 weeks) she said her brakes were making noise...I got in drove it around and also heard more squeaking and a "grinding" noise. Was told by a guy at an oil change that the brakes were bad again...this was about 2 weeks later. Couldn't get me car passed on an inspection due to "metal on metal" he said. Didn't see how that was possible. I got into the brakes again and found that the pads are FINE. NOT metal on metal as he said........can anyone tell me what to check for next as I have been burned by professional mechanics and not to trusting of them.
