Help Please,
I have a 1993 Acura legend LS coupe with 116k miles. I noticed a bit of smoke coming out from the hood when car was idling and so I took it to my mechanic to check. He advised that the water pump had a leak and that I should do the repair and at the same time change the timing belt. After much thought, (the blue book is about 2k) I agreed to have him make the repairs at a cost of $950.00.
The next day, he advised that after the repairs were completed that the car was still idling at a high temperature and upon further investigation believes that the car may also have a blown head gasket! He says the car may need to be junked but still wants me to pay for the services rendered.
