I have purchased a used 1997 Taurus and then purchased a keyless remote. I have checked a couple different sites and both tell you the procedure of turning key off and on (one site said 5 times, another 7 or 8 times) within 10 seconds, ending in the on position. Locks should then cycle and so on. I have tried several times to do this and nothiong happens. I tried the cycle 5 times, 7 times, 8 times and 10 times, but I get no response. Is there something else I could try to get into the programing mode to set this remote? I appreciate any help on this.
