Well there are a few questions for me to address. With the dealers trying to get the vehicle off the lot we figured we could get a good deal? In some cases dealers are either overstocked or willing to discount 2006 models. This is a dealer by dealer situation. If I were a Nissan dealer and needed to make room for the 2007 Nissan Armadas and I had plenty of 2006 Nissan Armadas on the lot, yes I would discount the Armada.
We talked the salesperson in to 30,500.00 is this a good deal? This seems to be a great deal. Go to

Edmunds has their TMV, which is a true pricing guide. It takes into account all variables including your market. Get your TMV price and you will see that 30,500.00 with the extras looks great.
how much would the salesperson make off this deal? This is a tough question, I must admit. Every salesman can make different amounts off different cars. A scenario I would offer would be...what if a salesman had 9 sales for the month, and at the tenth sale he would get a bonus. So knowing this he walks into his manager because he likes you and says lets do whatever we have to sell this customer a car. Even if I have to give up my commission. Knowing that your sale would be his 10th of the month, and he just met his sales bonus. I think customers could drive themselves crazy trying to figure out what everyone is making off the sale. Your better off negotiating a deal that you are happy with and feel is a great deal. At the end of the day if you are happy with what you paid for the car then you have won.
Sincerely,
The Retired Car Salesman!!!
