I have a 2002 Ford Explorer that has the "O/D Off" dashboard light blinking problem.  It started about a year ago; dealer had the car for two weeks, replaced six (6) parts but could not correct the problem.  Car runs ok with normal transmission operation but light start blinking after driving for about two to three miles.  ...

On my 2002 Ford when I have to stop suddenly the transmisison will go out of gear.  When I step on the gas to go forward it will take a second or two for the transmission to kick in.  What can be the problem?
