Where is a/c low side pressure port located on a 1993 Grand Cherokee limited 5.2 v8?

Bought this car used last year. THe A/c works intermitently. It will run cool and then warm. If I play with the knob that changes it from recirc to dash only to dash/under dash air it will begin blowing cool again for a while.
It seems to blow cool more of the time when the outside temp is below 90 or so.
Is it the switch/knob?
