Hello all, has anyone ever experienced the check engine light coming on after bottoming out HARD on a driveway curb? I checked the frame and all was good, no oil leaks, 2000 miles left on oil change. The light has NEVER came on before and it has me worried. [:O]
I do have a locking gas cap but I make sure to turn it "3 clicks". ...

PROBLEM: REPLACED A FUEL PUMP, TO FIND OUT IT WAS A BLOWN FUSE. NOW WITH NEW PUMP ON AND THE GAS TANK A HALF FULL, GOING RIGHT OR ON A RAMP THAT WOULD SWISH THE GAS IN THAT DIRECTION. THE CAR IS TURNING OFF. ALSO, THE PRESSURE WHEN REMOVING THE GAS CAP IS VERY NOTICIBLE. ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO THE PROBLEM?

That sounds logical, however it doesn't explain why the light came on in the first place and hasn't come on since. If the real problem still exists, then it would stand to reason that the light would come back on regardless of the memory loss. I guess my next question is whether loosening the oil filter and retightening it by hand had an ...
