Silly question...but did you check to see is you have spark at the plugs?
If not, pull any plug wire and put an old plug in the wire. Cut the ground electrode off the plug so you have a big gap and lay the side of the plug against metal . Have someone crank the engine whille you look for spark jump. No spark= ignition problem, place to start!

(1) Spark Plug wires
(2) TPS Throttle Position Sensor

Pull all 4 of the Door switches out of the body and see if one of them is grounded all the time. That is the easy part of the fix and I hope you don't need to go any further!

BTW, Answer to headlight problem is as follows:
Followed wires from headlight to a location just under the battery. Sitting there are 3 relays (middle one is headlight relay). Measured voltage on the feed to the control side of the circuit = 10.5 volts. Checked the wire visually and found a small "bump" (looked like a little snake that ...

Ford has been (in most cases) using a 1-3-4-2 firing order.
If you still have the original distributor cap it should have the #1 position cast into the cap.
Pop the cap and get someone to turn the ignition Key to crank the engine just a little whille you watch to see the direction the rotor turns.

I have a 99 DOHC and had to replace the sender a bit ago.
Mine was located in the transmission just above the right (passenger) side catalytic converter. Because of the heat there is a flimsy heat shield around it--be carefull to slide it up the wiring harness or it will come apart!

Where is the headlight relay and what are the colors of the wires in the headlight system/switch.
I had a copy of the Ford manual made for and not many of the colors match the diagram.

I've worked on a lot of electricial problems on cars and the best help for me has been locating where the last mechanic had his fingers.
Go back and make sure the ground is a good one.
