I have A 1990 Ford F-150 and it dies(totally shuts off) as I am driving down the road This happens about 3-5 times in a 10 minute trip. When it dies I have to pull off the road , put it in park, and restart it. this is verry dangeerous! I almost get hit every day. this truck is my only means of transportation. PLEASE HELP!

The purge valve on my 1990 f250 make it sounds like I have a valve tap. If you hold the valve you can feel the taping in it and its loud. What does it do. And can I bypass it with a piece of hose.
