My battery was dead on my 95 Maxima after I left the lights on all day.  AAA came out and attempted to jump the car.  As long as their cables were hooked up the car ran but stopped as soon as they were removed.  Is this just a very dead battery or is this possibly the alternater not working, and how do I check it?  Thanks and ...

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima with 115k miles, V6.  It has trouble starting in the mornings.  after a few tries it will then after that it starts right up.  It only does this when the car has been sitting for a long time. Any idea what this could be??? I have some one who wants to buy the car and need to know what to do to fix this.
